Types of Fruiting Chambers
Shotgun Fruiting Chamber (SGFC)
The simplest and most popular option for beginners. Made from a plastic tote with holes drilled on all six sides, filled with damp perlite on the bottom. Costs under $20 to build and works well for small-scale growing.
Monotub
A larger tote modified with filtered air holes. Better for bulk substrate grows. Requires less daily maintenance than an SGFC once dialed in.
Martha Tent
A greenhouse-style tent with automated humidity and air exchange. Best for serious growers managing multiple species or large quantities. Requires a humidifier and temperature/humidity controller.
Key Environmental Parameters
- Humidity: 85-95% relative humidity. Use a humidifier with humidity controller for automated control.
